new wes anderson movie coming out with adrian brody and jason schwartzman. i saw shop girl about a month or so ago and i really loved it. i saw feast of love with my mom last night. i knew that it probably wasn't going to be a good movie, but at least an interesting one or a guilty pleasure. but no, i didn't like it. it was really sad and i didn't like the characters and it was just a bunch of extremely beautiful and extremely extremely thin women falling in love with pretty good looking men. and we're supposed to be surprised that these people found each other and were so attracted and struck by one another when they first met? no. that's dumb. also, it was all about love at first sight and i don't care about that. i mean, if it exists that's cool, but i don't know a single person who could relate. and i don't think there's anything sad about it. i like the idea that you could build a really important, life-changing relationship with just about anyone if you put in the energy. it means everyone is worth loving, and we can all relate to one another in some way.

the one thing i did like in the movie was one guys wife falls in love with another woman. they show a lot of nice moments between them and it's one of the happier parts of the film. and both of the women are likable. the rest of the romances are focused more on what's sad about them and the writing is cheesy and pretentious.

now, nanny diaries, that's a guilty pleasure i can get down with. loved it!

i get to babysit charlie tonight and i could not be more excited
