the metal tongs in the pan! such a mark of someone who's getting his pans bought new every show by the studio. jesus. he's way better at chopping parsely than I am though. I mean, in addition to other things.

Actually, I do the same thing. The difference, however, is that I go to yard sales for my pans and end up getting some really durable non-stick pans for less than a fiver. Works just as well with thrift stores of course. On the other hand, assuming sufficient tong control, you could really do the same with any pan.

dude I've had the same great pans I got on overstock for $16 bucks in total back in like '03 or something simply because I don't touch their insides with metal. it's true, if my kung fu were better I could probably touch the food without touching the pans, but I'm not that good.

can't tell you--there's some kind of logo and the name begins with an M, but the bottom's all scorched and whatnot. it's non-stick cookware made in china, though. overstock was probably better in its first year than it has been since. I've been on it once or twice in the last year looking for value and haven't managed to find any.
