My REAL first day volunteering at the hospital...

I get to wake up before 7... woo... so the ER Department is on the second floor and basically I get to do the basic stuff like cleaning beds for other patients... cuz they keep coming in and out and carrying stuff... blahness. Not the most fun but I guess I can stand it. It was boring mostly. I sat in this wheely chair a lot and watched the nurses and doctors looking at a gajillion clipboards and then exchanging them and go in and out of rooms. I guess the coolest thing I saw today was a man who came in cuz a blowtorch blew up on him... so he's burnt on his stomach and his hands. So after all that... I had to take a 10 minute hike back to the Human Resources building so I could sign out. It's like 90 out. Ugh... the ER Department is on the far left and the HR building is on the far right. I hope I get more to do next time. I hope they think of something... I think they didn't know what to put me to work to cuz the guy that was supposed to be my supervisor left on Friday... I think he moved or something and they didn't know what I should be doing. So they left me with a nurse tech person. Hehe. O well... we'll see what happens on Thursday.

So I was coming home today at 12:15 and traffic was backed up all along 31... cuz of some accident on 65. I was about to fall asleep... how boring... line moved so slowly too... and when I got to the high school to pick my sisters up... I had to wait even longer for about 20 minutes just sittin' in my car... I haven't eaten since 6-7 in the morn. Ugh... I was starving and tired... next time I'll just be 20 minutes late to pick my sisters up... after all that, we went to eat and then I came home and fell asleep (as usual)...

I feel much better cuz I had a headache after the hospital... it's not hectic like ER on the show is... I think it's much quieter and not as much running around... maybe next time it'll be CRAZY...

O and we finally finished my room this weekend... painting... I just need a new desk...
