I had a very good weekend. It started Friday evening with a gathering of folks here - actually it was a good excuse to get Liz out of her house for the evening since Jas arrived in Kuwate Thursday. I think it's finally sunk in that he is bound for Iraq - and not just to her. But we had a good time having dinner and watching Top Secret and some of us playing Sequence. People left when they wanted and I think it was a good evening all in all. I certainly enjoyed myself, and hope others did too.
Saturday, my folks came to Rochester to visit our house for the first time since we bought it. We had a wonderful visit with them - we drove by
Mayowood (course they're not open yet) and also visited
Oxbow Park in Byron. We'd not been there before, but I'll definately be back. It was a very pretty park.
Today, we went to
Trinity Lutheran Church, and we really enjoyed the traditional service. The hubby & I will be back. I've missed attending church in this kind of setting. S has agreed to go with me as well, which is wonderful. I hate going to services alone, which is probably why I've not been regularly for a year or so.
The parents left after church, and we went to run errands. I had a quiet afternoon and evening painting a banner for a friend and watching Jane Austen movies. Hope everyone else had a good weekend. too.
