Lots of stuff happening lately that I've not been blogging about. Here's a brief recap:
* Ages of War planning is coming along. I have the books for doing some further research, and would like to have an article in the May's Northwatch about it. We'll see how far I get.
* I've been having fun helping a good friend get her family room completed (with the help of my wonderfully handy husband). It's done and ready to be invaded in a couple weeks when she gets married and has a bunch of people staying there.
* I'm going to be in a wedding next Fall. Liz (the above friend) is having a nice church wedding then, to celebrate her love of Jason. They're having a very small civil cerremony at the end of the month before he's off to Iraq for a little more than a year.
* Work is going very well. I am really enjoying my new job at SELCO - everyone is so nice & friendly here. Of course it helps that my good friends
spot1111 &
aletheiaxanthe both work here. LOVE THAT!
* I start a part-time temporary job here at SELCO this week. I'll be putting in some time replacing barcodes on a local collection here in Rochester that is joining the SELCO catalog. It'll be less than stimulating, but I won't mind the extra money I'll get from it.
* I've been encouraging a friend to join the Dark Side and become a herald. We'll see how that goes. He's created a comprehensive primer of regular & complex field divisions, that I look forward to seeing it in its final, completed state.
* The hubby & I are going up north with friends this Easter weekend to get away from it all. It's going to be a very fun time to spend with another couple in a cabin, and not have to worry about the small day to day stuff at home.
* SUN Rising is just around the corner as well. I'll be teaching a class on beginning fingerloop braiding. It's a good hands-on class, with a bit of background on historical uses and materials of the resulting cord.
All in all, life has been busy but good. I like good.
