Take this job and shove it!
I got the job! Happy, happy dance! And now the anxiety. I start on the 15th, which allows me to give 2 weeks notice to my current job.
I'm going to give notice on Monday when my boss is back in the office. The 2nd week of my 2 week notice I have off to go to Seattle for my sis-in-law's wedding. I'm going to offer to work Saturday and Sundays for the rest of the month to give them some more time to find a replacement. It will be difficult to find someone stupid enough to work those days and those hours for crap pay.
I'll be working Monday - Friday, 8a-5p. It has been YEARS since I've worked a normal schedule. My official title is "System Support Administrator I". I will get lots of experience with XP, which I don't currently have. My commute will be cut in half. They have a career path and plans for the internal IT department. And I'll be making almost $5 more per hour than I am now.
Did I mention I'll be working Monday - Friday?
