Hurrah
After two months of frustration with Linksys and Earthlink, we now have our wireless network functional at home. Happy dance! Of course, it did require switching to Netgear router and network adapter. No sudden and inexplicable dropouts. Although it has only been 10 hours. I will continue to keep my toes crossed.
My personal opinion: Earthlink and Linksys both have miserable technical support. I hope I do not have to contact them again... ever.
