Happy New Year! (Elmira Picspam)
I'm always so late with these things, but this is just a heads up to let you guys know I'm alive. I stopped playing the game for a few months during school but I had to share these pictures that just broke my heart:
Yes, that is Callum Katz, teenage greaser turned dutiful boyfriend, finally finding the happiness he never found as Nervous. I know everyone uses Maxis Sims as their townies nowadays, but I never thought they'd be getting married in so soon! It's the first generation and I already have Nervous in one of my families, all without me really having to force it!
More random updates from my literary prosperity hood underneath the cut. I may never update with their adventures, but hey, I'm having a blast playing it.
The other Maxis Sim is Mercutio Monty, who became Seamus Varner, a Fortune Sim who randomized gay and has fallen in love with the youngest Pallaicaster, Douvan.
Douvan did grow up to be insanely cute. He's also Fortune and has really bad experiences with men, so I'm happy for him.
Douvan and Callum went to college together, but I think Callum steals most of my attention because it's so weird seeing him smile. In Elmira he's a Popularity Sim with 10 outgoing and 10 Nice- the extreme opposite of Nervous.
He does retain some of his roguish charm though.
Here's his fiancee, the gorgeous Venia Pallaicaster. I call it a literary prosperity because the naming themes of the three families are from some of my favorite book series: The Pallaicasters are based on The Hunger Games and their bizarre Capitol names. (You can see her twin brother Vick in the background! He's already a Celebrity Chef!)
of course, this is ME we're talking about, so giant weddings abound. Well, not really. this is the first wedding in Elmira, Cerenna Milkovich married Hobby Club leader Devi Barrett. Cerenna is an Icon after 5 rounds of struggling with her acting career, and was able to make enough money to move out of her apartment and into the NL townhouse.
Devi has one of my default face replacements and I think she's gorgeous. I'm obsessed with her.
Cerenna's daughter, Melara also grew up to be a stunner. I love her look so much. In TS3 she was unlucky in love, but here Mel is slaying. She has three bolts with Vick, and they just started going steady during round 6. (The Milkoviches have names that come from A Song of Ice and Fire, the Game of Thrones books.)
Like I said, I love HUGE weddings. I just played this yesterday! This is the second wedding in Elmira, the wedding of Eryl Manalac and Cerenna's old roommate Ourania Lupin, teacher and Romance Sim. These pictures mean a lot to me because every single one of my prosperity Sims is in attendance. It only took 6 rounds to get all these connections going!
I was surprised when they both rolled Engagement wants, but the wedding was all me: Eryl only has 2 rounds of adulthood left! (I play them as adults for 40 days, or exactly 8 rounds. It gives me more time to play them and they don't have to have kids so quickly.)
And finally, here's Edriss Manalac, looking STUNNING in her fifties inspired look. Edriss is the heiress of the house and is engaged to Aberforth Curious, Ripp and Chloe's son from SVR. I can't wait to see their blond children. (And the Manalacs are named after the various aliens from the Animorphs book series.)
