Or: a study in indecision. A month ago I posted that I was REALLY into The Sims 3, I was playing like mad, and made it to round 8 in my prosperity before I got bored by how unnecessarily difficult the game was to customize the way I wanted it to. Maybe I didn't do it right, but when my Sims started dropping their wishes on switch I was over it.
But I REALLY liked my Sims. I got attached to them and their names and their backstories, so I did what any insane person would do: installed ALL of my Sims 2 games and expansions and decided to do the exact same prosperity with a game I knew how to play.
Crazy, right?
Anyway, I'm back to playing The Sims 2. Some pictures of the townies of my new town/city (I'm trying to recreate the separate suburb/city area without having to attach a downtown). The game makes it so hard to decorate a town properly. If there's one thing TS3 EXCELS at it's making gorgeous "worlds".
Warning: Pictures taken with the in game camera below the cut. THE COMPRESSION.
They're really small because I haven't figured out how to reszie them yet, ugh.
Elmira City. Not really that great looking but I downloaded the Sims 3 extracted buildings and plan to make it nicer since the Milkovich family lives there.
For my townies, I wanted some familiar faces, but not entirely recognizable. This is Julien Cooke as a woman, with a random aspiration and a random personality. Not all the townies are gender swapped, just ones that were too obvious without it.
Her name is Orinthia. *ascends*
The post is tagged with SVR because this is where my SVR Sims will live on. I don't have it in me to recreate Veronaville again, and all the work I did over two years will kill me, so... No. Some of them have made the journey to Elmira, but not all: some siblings were too similar looking for me to have ALL of them, you know?
This is Johnny and Ophelia's oldest, Nigmos "Iggy" Smith, reborn as Elias Beirne.
Here's their youngest, Ozric "Ozzy", as a woman named Arza. She really looks like Johnny!
Novara was in EPL as Kaylynn's daughter with Don Lothario, she got to keep her name since I've never played her before.
Bottom and Vidcund had twin daughters in my game, but they were really similar looking so one became a guy, here's Hartford Messer. He looks like Bottom and has a lumpy face, hence the facial hair.
Lola and Antonio Monty's daughter got to keep her gender and looks. Dolores Monty is gorgeous even though she takes after her face two mother. I love her alien eyes. x_x
Kirsten Loste's daughter got a radical makeover. Alecto became Alona, and became S4 with black hair. (She was S3 with brown before.) I love the way she looks.
AND OF COURSE. The star of my later SVR rounds, any Sims player should recognize his parentage: Aberforth Curious, Abe Monty, the OOPS baby of Chloe Curious and none other than Ripp Grunt.
It was honestly kind of a scandal. Chloe didn't want kids and Lola couldn't have them (she tried and tried through ALL of her adulthood) so when Chloe had her baby and Lola happened to be pregnant, Aberforth became Abe and was passed off as Dolores' twin. That's right: Ripp didn't know (and never found out) he had a son running around and Chloe never told him. :/
In game, I just had Abe go live with Lola and he really was raised in Veronaville, away from his Grunt cousins (that I apparently never extracted) and his father.
Abe was originally Pleasure but in Elmira he's Knowledge. He also got to keep his name.
He really only got Chloe's jaw. He's basically an alien Ripp. I refer to him as Abe Monty since that was his name over in SVR, but his birth name was Aberforth Curious. Either way, here he has no parents and is a cute and friendly teen. *smothers*
AND that's it! I actually created 31 townies from premades and SVR, but these are the ones I took pictures of. :P I'm not sure if I'm posting my prosperity but I AM playing the game and generally around again. My next post will be my attempts to recreate my families in The Sims 2. Wish me luck!
