TS3: The Ballad of Barbara Langerak
So I'm back with my first update in like a million years, and I'm posting about the other game. Oop. I honestly just wanted to post this because The Sims 3 is so bizarre that this post kind of created itself? The name is because I liked the alliteration of Barbara and ballad.
Also, be warned that my pictures are gross because I don't have a photo editing program and I'm using the in game camera. I literally only resized these with Paint. *sobs*
I still know how to ramp up the drama so we'll start at the conclusion- that's Barbara Langerak, witnessing the death of her mother, Kaylynn.

I don't know why Barb was so worked up. She and her mother didn't even get along. My Sunset Valley is kind of a mess because of nraas Story Progression. Kaylynn married some guy when she was already an adult, and she was kind of a rich snob? I have all these ideas in my head about how Barb is insecure and mean because of her upbringing, but I love her. (She's mean spirited and neurotic, btw.)
Let me back up: I only played Barb for the first time yesterday because I felt bad that she was going to die alone. I originally wanted her to marry my generation 3 heir, but saw her traits and decided against it. He's going to marry Danica Bachelor, Bella's daughter, instead. But I honestly like Barbara, so I popped into her house by the beach and decided to find her a man when I got the pop up that her mother was dying so visit etc.
Yeah, Kaylynn died having an awful relationship with her daughter. I do love how interactive the neighborhoods are though. I like knowing what everyone is doing.
ANYWAY, you guys remeber who I love to ramble, Barbara didn't find any suitable males in the hood so I had her hook up with a firefighter named Marty! This picture is also scenery p0rn because the beach is GORGEOUS.
He's super hot and he really likes her. He rolls up wishes for her all the time, it's insanely cute.
I mainly took this picture for the scenery. Her house is amazing and the scenery in this game is marvelous.
THIS IS THE BIZARENESS THAT I MENTIONED. Tony Hart-Alvi was running around like this, I was so confused. (He's descended from Bebe Hart, the good girl who was living with her crazy parents? She got married to one of the Alvis.)
Barbara eventually got pregnant, and I was super happy for them. Marty was too.
I realized that they might not get married left on their own, so I had Marty propose- he even had a wish for it! Proposing in this game is almost the same as TS2 but it was still cute so enjoy your spam. I'm letting the baby keep her name because Langerak >>> Waldrop.
RANDOM:
I NEED to learn how to extract Sims because Rosalinda French is STUNNING. She's one of the prettiest Sims I've ever had born in game. She's the granddaughter of the original French premades who lived with the McIrishes, who's descendants are still running around.
I'll talk shit about TS3 forever but they have some awesome looking houses in Sunset Valley. This is Mosquito Cove, where one of my generation three spares (Merope, whose back you see) moved into when she got kicked out of the main house.
And that's the end of this totally pointless update! I heard LJ was dead and that everyone was on tumblr now, but w/e.
