As is always the case, the best FreeCycle post of the week was made this morning. Something about Sunday makes people put on their idiot-hats and take to the internets.
"My daughter just started her riding lessons. I did not realize the
amount of equipment she is going to need. I bought her boots but am in
search of anything..pants (size 10-12), shirts (size 7)and a helmet.
Money is a bit tight right now and I just don't have enough for the
lessons AND the gear. If anyone has anything laying around that
perhaps their child has grown out of it would SO appreciated. Thanks
so much!
1. If you can't afford the gear, then you can't afford the lessons. It's that simple. For something like riding lessons gear is part of the deal.
2. What kind of lazy asshole are you? You didn't think to research anything about the lessons you were going to send your child to? You didn't think to ask the instructor what equipment would be required? Way to go with being an involved parent.
3. You are a piece of shit parent. You were seriously going to send your child to riding lessons without a fucking helmet? Way to go fuckwad. I do not have any of the items you asked for, but I do have something else your daughter may find useful. It's the number for a local lawyer who specializes in head trauma cases, so that she can sue the pants off of you.
