I've got so much work to do but I always end up getting distracted...

I was just checking out a few sites to try and find a good definition of 'patriarchy' and 'matriarchy' (I know what they are but at uni its all about the referencing- my interpretation probably wouldn't stand on its own because I'm an inferior academic mind), anyway, I stumbled on this guys website; http://hugoboy.typepad.com and I think the issues he's writing about are so interesting and are the sorts of things which are relevant to 'us' as everyday teenage males and females. For most of us feminist/gender relation issues such as disproportinate salaries and the 'double shift' of housework are not relevant to our lives, but this guy is writing about stuff like guilty feelings associated with food and the contradictions of wearing what you want and how others will perceive your body- equally relevant social issues that people, esp. feminists need to address. His religion (Christianity) does infiltrate his views and writing but not in a judgemental tone, and in no way does it detract from the relevance of what he is saying; it is very easy for a reader to omit references to religion if they don't personally feel any connection with them. So if anyone actually ever reads my journal and thinks it sounds like this is of interest to them I strongly recommend you go check him out. Don't you just love male feminists?
