For the love of little fishies

Yesterday's storm knocked my power out and it was still not on when I left the house at 9:30 today, so I am at my sister's place, reveling in her AC and internets. So yay, I can study for the bar tomorrow, but I picked up a Tasty Turkey sandwich from Einstein's Bagels earlier and now I realize that it HAS NO TURKEY. I cannot decide whether to kennel the dogs, drive back there, and complain (and get some turkey) or if I should just give up and eat it. It has tomato and cucumber and sprouts and cream cheese on a bagel so it's not a total loss. It just has no turkey.

I am particularly irritated by this because of yesterday's adventures in which:
* California Tortilla #1 was closed for power outage
* Columbia Mall was closed
* Outdoor Columbia Mall restaurants - busy and not great for one person to study in
* Other Places in Columbia - no restaurants (really?)
* Red Lobster in Columbia - was going to put JUST ME at a 4-chair table in the middle of the dining room. Embarrassing. Also, because I wanted to study, awkward. And when I asked the waitperson if there was anywhere else she could put me and she was all, "Uhhhh..." I apologized and left. Because I really just needed a damn McDonalds.
* Passed a shopping center with places AFTER I'd already emailed wojelah that I was on my way.
* California Tortilla #2 - no longer taking orders when I got there
* Applebees - hour wait
* Everything on Route 1 - no power except the Arby's that cannot be accessed safely from that side of the road
* Everything on Route 193 - no power
* Pizza Place a block from me - no power
* Back to Arby's - restaurant was closed, but the drive-through was open. Dinner by candlelight!

The bar is tomorrow. I am TOTALLY zen.

Really.

ETA: The Pepco outage maps are...out...so I can't tell if I have power back or not until I go home tonight. Joy.

bar exam mark ii, clear blue skies, failing at life
