Oh, wow...this is the nicest surprise to wake up to! Prentiss-Rossi fic! I have well and truly consumed the Kool-aid on this pairing, but even if I hadn't, having read your writing I would keep reading because your words are wonderful.

The characterization of Emily is so perfect here...the professional certainty with the personal awkwardness. I love the way she looks at Rossi.

It's easier to take when the person roughing her up's the bad guy, someone she can hate, someone she can rail against in her head, and she doesn't hate Dave. His thumb strokes softly against the inside of her arm, comfort, an apology, something, even as she trips after him.

Those two sentences are pure genius.

I can't wait for the rest.

I must confess, wojelah fixed the first of those two sentences for me because I had a jumble of words that utterly failed to get my intent across - but she made it beautifully clear.

Wonderful Emily characterisation, and those few moments that passed between Emily and Dave say a lot. Interesting her reaction to Morgan's comment.

Poor Dave's hand, and I hope we don't have to wait too long before the next chapter. The suspense is killing me.

I'd actually been imagining a scene with Em and Dave acting as bait, though slow dancing and consensual making out would be involved.
