Does anyone remember my Biz Ass professor from last semester, who came up with the insane idea to
prevent us going over time by having the proctor ride the elevator to the basement and back while we all made a mad rush for the stairs? Yeah, well,
I took Anti-Trust with him...
...and just got this email regarding the exam:
Dear Antitrust Students,
The exam will consist of two sections, a multiple choice section with 25 eqaully-weighted questions worth a total of 30 points (including five free bonus points) and an essay exam with 4 equally-weighted questions worth a total of 60 points. You will have 45 minutes to take the multiple choice exam, after which you will hand in your scantron and exam and pick up your essay exam packet. Do not start either exam until instructed to do so by a representative of the Records Office. You will have 120 minutes to take the essay exam. Understand that it is a violation of the Honor Code to use more than the assigned time to take your exam. It is important that you all take the exam on a level playing field, and I have instructed the Records Office to inform me of any abuses as a result.
The multiple choice exam is closed book, closed notes. The essay exam is open notes only. In general, you are required to know the names of the cases and to be able to associate them with their basic facts, economic reasoning, and legal holding and rationale.
Emphasis mine.
All in all, I suppose this one is better as it requires no feats of physical prowess and doesn't risk life and limb of a poor Records Office Proctor. STILL.
