SGA Fic Mini-Exchanges
Howdy, ya'll! shetiger just showed me femslash_minis and maleslashminis, two Jossverse comms that sponsor regular mini-challenges (minimum word count is 500) centered on a specific character, and all I could think was OMG, SHINY.
And then she said, "Wouldn't it be neat to have one for SGA?"
So we've been thinking about setting up a comm for just such a purpose. (No, no, I am not allowed to participate. I get to watch though!) Since we'd only be working with one universe instead of three, (and because we're easy like that) we'd like to open up the comm to het, slash, femslash, and gen. We don't think this should cause any single-genre people any problem, since you won't be required to write slash if you only write het or vice versa--as long as you're okay with writing (or receiving) gen as a substitute. You'll be able to indicate the characters you do want to want and some you don't, so that should help relieve some nerves, as well. (We hope! Please do tell us if you see a big train heading our way!)
