First off, WTF, high of 32 tomorrow and rain/snow on Wednesday? I thought we were agreed that spring was on its way! The cold seriously saps my will to function.
Wow was that disgusting!
On the other hand, how awesome is it that Kate Mulgrew is their mother? Totally rocked my socks. I especially liked how she froze out Sean's girlfriend but is (currently) okay with Jenny.
Sean and Jimmy were completely non-characters this week, except for the ripples of what Jimmy had done in the last episode.
Kevin's not built to crush bodies and somehow that doesn't upset me. Although I have to confess to Delaware legal geekdom and admit that the setup reminds me of the Capano thing. (The movie "And Never Let Her Go" which some of you may have seen because David Hewlett plays the younger brother of the killer, is based on a true story that happened in my tiny little inbred state about ten years ago. Tom Capano, the killer, has to mutilate a body to get it to fit in a cooler, and his brother Gerry, played by Hewlett, totally wimps out of even just watching and eventually turns state's witness against Tom.) I'm only a little bit afraid that Kevin might flip on Tommy. I'd rather see what he does to make up for nearly passing out.
Jenny kind of rocks my socks, what with scrubbing the steps and sleeping with Jimmy, and then freezing him out. Speaking of freezing, Tommy is the whitest white boy ever to strip down and all those muscles do not make him less pasty, I'm afraid. It's like flashback to NYPD Blue when David Caruso was baring his rear and my mother called him, "Pasty Butt." And has, actually, ever since.
Finally, Joey Ice Cream continues to fail as a narration device. I'm unreasonably amused by him showing up in the middle of a scene and Tommy wondering where he came from, but it's not helping if you know what I mean.
