control_freak80 had her one-year LJversary yester - *checks watch* - on Monday. And she and I have been adoring
this picture for so long, that I finally broke down and wrote her Weir/Sumner. It was supposed to be a PWP of 4-5 pages and, well, we all know that doesn't happen to me.

Also, this gave me the giggles: "If he gets too out of control, I'll assign him to Rodney's lab. That should straighten him out in no time."
Oh, how little you know, Elizabeth. Straight is so not the word. ;)

And...*giggle*...oh, Elizabeth. She'll figure it out soon enough. ;)

And the sex was so hot that now I am very sad Sumner was killed off in the pilot. The show needs to find a quantum mirror so we can have Robert Patrick back.

Is good. Is very good. Looks so much nicer without {skip} and other things. Sumner is terribly good and terribly hot and still Dead Man Walking and it doesn't matter. And Elizabeth is great because she's so much a living, breathing person under the facade we got to see.

I liked this. Your Sumner was - plausible, and personable, both. I like the glimpse inside the mask. Also, it occurs to me that actually probably he and Weir are closer to one another age-wise than most of the other personnel on the expedition.
It's funny, but Weir tends to be almost my "little black dress", there are so many people I can see her paired with. I don't know that I'd ever have considered Sumner, but you do make it work. It's a little like her and Caldwell, isn't it? That tension and respect.
But now you've made me all sad about Sumner dying! And, ooh, that adds a fun extra layer to Sheppard killing him and all - wonder what she was thinking about that?

Yay! I'm glad you liked him. I didn't know what I was doing until I started writing him and then he was a lot of fun. I can't tell how old anyone's supposed to be, comparatively. I thought Weir was supposed to be older than John and Rodney and then someone thought she was younger, by just a year or two, and Sumner should be older than all of them, but I always thought Simon was way older than Elizabeth but that didn't seem to go either so I have no idea. :D But I like it. It is like her and Caldwell a bit!
Thank you!

Of course, someone else pointed out that the "official" ages are utterly ridiculous, like, Weir's supposed to be 35 and Sheppard's 32, or something... No way, really. So who knows!
