[SGA fic] The Best Things in Life Are Free, Part 6a

Part 6 clocked in at almost 14,000 words, which is longer than some complete stories I've written. But that also made it too big for one LJ entry, so you'll find the link for 6b at the end of 6a, no muss, no fuss.

(ok, and now that i've actually read it and am not just grinning like a lunatic because of its existence...)

god, this is so good. it's SO good. i don't think i breathed during the last third of it. the prank fits so perfectly and brilliantly into the story, and the description of john and rodney and the planes was just BEAUTIFUL, and it feels so real. reading it feels just like being in high school again, and you capture the suffocation rodney feels with his parents, and how surprising his ease with john is for both him and for john, and and...

i'm not doing it justice. you've created this whole universe, and i know these characters, and i can't wait for the next part :).

*grin* I'm so amused when people post before reading it. I...I don't even know why. It just makes me happy.

I hate to cheer for autoasphyxiation but...yay! I'm glad this part lived up to expectations. :D The planes were actually so much fun to write, even though I'd left the scene until absolute last to finish up. I'm glad all the little bits are coming through, too. Sometimes there's all this stuff I want to get across and I just don't have the room to put in whole scenes about it. Thanks!
