So... I just finished reading this in one fell swoop, and I might have to break my promise not to love it. To not love it. Whatever.

I *do* love it. While there are a few small problems, easily dealt with, the overall characterizations are spot on. The dialogue crackles, and the medecine is...interesting, if not entirely always believable. It still creates a good framework for the story.
By he way, you were right about Chase. He turned out to be a good character. So convenient that he was the only one able to give House a ride home, eh? That little scene was priceless.
You were right also about the tenth chapter--it was *smokin'*--really good. I think Cameron's little all-in-one-breath speech about her husband was exactly the sort of thing she would do (a little reminiscent of her speech to Wilson about her husband in the Cindy Lou Who episode). As for the book, maybe House just tosses it onto his desk and Wilson later sees it there. By the way, I loved Wilson's reaction to the book. Exactly what he would do. And when Cameron stopped being passive and lit into HOuse for feeling sorry for himself..so right.
I only had a little trouble believing House would feel the need to apologize after going through her purse. He is generally, as you said, unapologetic for his outrageous behavior. He'd never really feel he was 'in the doghouse,' I think.
Anyway, I know it's bad form to beg an author to keep going on an old fic, but I am really looking forward to the Mets game!! Please don't give up on this one.
