RPG Fever

So you know when you play an RPG for a really long time (15+ hours) almost non-stop (with bathroom and snack run breaks excluded) and you really dont want to stop playing? Well i've determened why you never want to put the controller down. it comes down to two main reasons.

1.The "this is way to fun to ever stop playing!" reason. This reason is the most used excuse, when i think it is the most false. Sure RPG's are fun and all, and most of the time they are to fun to stop. But after a long time of playing, You start to subconciencsly think something else. This only occurs after many, many hours of straight playing. This leads me to the 2nd reason.

2.The " if i stop playing... i dont know if ill ever be able to continue again" reason. See, you may not ever think this while playing the game, but if youve been playing for a long time and finally find muscle strength to switch of the console, theres a high possibility that you wont start up te game again. Especially when you have other things to do; like watch T.V., or go on the computer, or (contemplating wheather or not to do) homework.

The reason i posted this is becuase it is happening to me, i was playing final fantasy X, for a really long time, and didnt want to stop becuase it was way to fun, but once i turned it off (only becuase i had to d ohomework, which i didnt do) i noticed that i didnt want to turn it off becuase i knew, that i personally wasnt easily gonna be able to play it again. I dont know why, maybe its cuz its annoying to start up systems, or maybe because i have to remember where i was and what i was last doing in the game.

any ways that was a long bitch about me not wanting to go to my room and play Final Fantasy X. even though that games rocks.
