Fucking ER
What a wonderful day. I slipped and fell today in my kitchen before work and sliced open my toe nd smashed my nail. I thought it was fine so I put on my boots and went to work. I got to work and decided to clean it off and it was also hurting like a bitch. I thought it was a cut, no biggy...but LT Lindo and Major Rizza took a look at it and said I needed to go to the ER. Great, like I want to spend four hours just to have a cut looked at. Suprisingly, I was seen right away...probably b/c I was in uniform...and I ended up needing stitches. Just geeting the shots in my toe to numb it was painful enough. Alas, after 45 minutes they were all in. So, I get to wear this little slipper.
I'm pissed, SSgt Patterson told me I need to get a million things done beofre I go on leave...and these are all things I've already done. But, she doesn't have my certificates proving that I have done them. So, I go on leave thursday, and need to accomplish LOAC (Laws of Armed Conflict) traing, OPSEC (Operation Security) training, and suicide prevention training, and take my CDC test on wednesday. Okay, I know I just did my suicide prevention training not even a year ago and OPSEC and LOAC I judt did 2 months ago. So, why did I rush to get OPSEC and LOAC trainging for them to lose my certificates and have to re-do everything? I know I have those certificates somewhere....I just need to hunt for them. Got to love the military...always have something to be trained on.
I can't wait to go on leave...it's well needed. I just can't wait to have fun and not have anything to worry about. No work, no re-calls, no stand-bys, no training, no nothing.
I can't wait till my tickets come in the mail. I am so excited that Will and I get to see MY CHEMICAL ROAMNCE in october. It's going to be awesome. Maybe I'll go in my blues so I can get a good spot. Just kidding, but I often times contemplate that.
I'm pissed, I don't get to start school until the spring semester. Oh well, maybe it's better that way. It'll give me time to study and possibly CLEP out a couple of courses.
