This was written by me last year, around Halloween XD So this was kind of like a Halloween special.
Wolves howl eerily in the distance, followed by the frantic flapping of bats. As they screech in their own language, the slam of a door escalates the already ominous atmosphere. Chords on the organ punctures the air.
Click.
It was just Henry and Kangin with a radio. Wait... the heavy footsteps are actual sounds. "What is that?" Henry whimpered, pressing closer to his sister.
Kangin scanned the room. "That doesn't scare me!" she claimed defiantly.
The footsteps continue, growing louder by the second. A young girl with long, dark hair covering her face entered the room. "Play with me..." she intoned. Kangin nearly jumped right out of her skin while Henry bounced up and down, enthused.
"Okay, let's play!" he shouted before Kangin grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the room. The girl followed them, her ghostly white dress fanning out from behind her.
"Run!" Brother and sister bounded from room to room.
"Play with me..."
Breathless, the two paused, panting. "Are we playing tag?" the ghost girl inquires curiously. Kangin turned around, only to find herself face-to-face - well, face-to-hair, technically - with the girl. She screamed before dashing up the stairs. She dove into the safety of the nearest room and locked the door. Then she realized...
Henry.
She had forgotten Henry!
She silently grieved for him and scolded herself for abandoning him. She had to get Henry back! She crept down the stairs and poked her head into every room. Last but not least was the living room. Kangin braced herself for the scene she might see.
Instead, she saw Henry and the girl kneeling on the floor. "Unhand my brother, you fiend!" she cried dramatically. The girl picked up Mimi's rainbow sheep plushie. Kangin narrowed her eyes to slits. "That's not yours," she spat, voice coated with hatred.
The girl nodded. "Yes it is," she insisted.
"It's Mimi's."
The ghost girl cocked her head. She briskly parted her hair.
"ZHOU MI?" Kangin blinked in disbelief. "I thought - you were - Henry was..." she stuttered, unable to find words to describe the situation. Finally, she snapped out of it. "Happy Halloween!" was her final exclamation.
Mimi smiled innocently. "What's wrong?" She extended an arm, sheep plushie in hand. "Play with me," she demanded.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! :D MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA -cough cough-
