...okay, so let me get this straight, English dubbers. See 5:45.
You leave in "guan dao", the factual Chinese name of Ren's weapon, and yet you change his entire nationality and make him fucking British for no goddamn reason? OH YEAH. THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE. What, did you forget to just call it a "spear" too? Since when did the dub give a shit about things pertaining to reality?
*repeatedly slams her head into a wall*
Holy shit. If there's ever a dub I want to see redone, it's Shaman King. The piece of garbage English dub does it no fucking justice. I've seen better dubbing and decisions in fan projects done by tweenagers. The only tolerable voice choices I've seen so far are the ones for Yoh, Bason, Hao, and Horo-Horo. And no, I am not calling them Trey or...Zeke. Ugh. That's such a friggin' old name, who the hell chose that?
...But I will say I found Horo-Horo's little snippet after Yoh and Ren walked outside at 8:05 pretty funny. Not sure if it's because I ship the hell out of Yoh and Ren though. Derp. Spanish Ryu's end-of-episode song after that got a chuckle out of me too, I guess. But again, that could because Lyserg annoys the shit out of me and any fun poked at his expense is alright by me. Double derp.
