Second Blog: A Productive Day and a New Pet

Aug 27, 2011 02:12

I believe I had a very productive day today. I got everything at work done today on time as well as other tasks I had planned to do later in the week, even with having to give some customers extensive assistance (even one we've had trouble with in the past came back, so that's saying something). I still had some energy left over to tidy up at home, and I was able to put back all the money I took out of my savings this month.

I snagged another adorable Siamese fighting fish, or betta. I've got quite a few of them: they're so easy to take care of, and their colors are gorgeous. I love animals. My house was always a zoo growing up. At the moment my residence is filled with two dogs, a cat, two rabbits, a leopard gecko, many fish, two turtles, and a mouse. (The cat, gecko and most of the fish are mine.) Anyway, the new betta is a handsome platinum and chocolate-colored crowntail! (He's the first crowntail I've had too, come to think of it.) I recently had my first betta loss: Nimbus, my gorgeous little pale violet and indigo male. He was the fifth betta I bought from work. May he rest in peace beneath the earth in the garden where I buried him. With his chocolatey-red colors, I'm thinking of naming my new male after Auron or Jecht from Final Fantasy X (the only good main characters in the game, in my opinion). He's swimming around his bowl a lot right now and flaring a bit tenaciously. I'm leaning towards Jecht right now. I'll get some pictures up once I charge my camera battery.

I also bought a pair of albino cory catfish to join one of my other bettas, Firecracker, in his 2.5G tank. They're pretty hyper little things. For anyone who loves Dragonball Z Abridged, Episode 25 is out. They're still going strong on their writing and jokes.

Random, but I would like to give a bit of advice to you music lovers that I had to learn the hard way. Always always ALWAYS back up your iTunes library and the folder you keep all of your mp3 files in. Nothing stinks more than having your computer crash on you and having to either find all of your music again or never start up iTunes while charging your iPod, iNano, etc. I had a hard drive crash in December and I'm still looking around for all the song files I used to have.

Have a good weekend, all~!
