The closest beach to KL is Port Dickson and that is where I was for 3 days and 2 nights and it was not for vacation!
I was there coordinating a teambuilding group for the first two days, and stayed up till 2am entertaining and being entertained. I learnt another Chinese card game! In one of the activities they built their own rafts and set off to get a flag placed a few hundred meters away! It's actually rather fun. But somehow as the water is rather shallow, the mud constantly stirred up, doesn't make the water look so inviting!
In the two days, I was dreaming of a vacation.
But felt like this old tree watching the flow. It's a hole in the trunk of the tree you see in the above picture. well, it's blocked by the people.
But alas as we put the participants on the bus late Sunday afternoon and bid them adieu, it was time to head down to another hotel in PD for our management meeting/dialogue that lasted for another day and half returning to the comfort of home at 6pm on Monday! It was an enjoyable trip in a sense, where we laughed senseless for hours. And it has hence landed me with losing (almost) my voice and a sore throat so severe that now my teeth are rotting from the sweetness of strepsils & lozenges. It was also an activity that left me exhausted. In fact, I whispered through my presentation on Monday and nearly fell asleep in others' presentations! I was on my feet for nearly 6-7 hours each day (Saturday & Sunday). I can't wait for Sunday to come to just bum around at home and sleep!
