people mostly have boring music taste
i love the stories attached to these tapes but it has led me to confirm my belief that people mostly have boring music taste. do people really think their sweetheart has not heard "its a family affair" enough times to make them want to hit their head against a wall when it comes on the mix tape you made them?

i have been finishing my thesis and listening to other people's itunes that i can access here on the server. this has led me to also feel very cynical about peoples music taste. do you know that almost everyone in college has beatles, wilco, talking heads on their computers? that shit comes on the radio! i have been surprised as to the level the unicorns have infiltrated itunes. everyone has at least one track of them. also one girl had a barr track. what? but overall the myth of art school kids being the coolest does not apply to grad school graduate art school does not equal good music taste.
