Baby, it's cold outside

I just witnessed the first snowfall of the year. It lasted for only about thirty seconds. Thirty seconds. One half a minute of perfect individual snowflakes, dancing in the wind. I could only see the ones that fell into the light of the lamp we have pointing at the flag out front, but that made them look like small shooting stars. As it was 4:00 a.m., I think I might have been the only person to witness it.

How did I react to that beautiful moment? And I quote, "Aw, fuck."

I hate winter.
