(no subject)
I've been doing my usual irritating thing of taking something I squee about and showing it to my non-fandom friends. Usually they go 'huh', politely pay attention, and then try to change the subject whenever I mention it again. But after showing around the Watchmen trailer, I now have a QUEUE of people waiting to borrow my copy of the book. People who have asked for it, rather than me saying 'it's brilliant, you can borrow it if you want!' until they agree and leave it in a cupboard for three months until I ask for it back.
YAY.
I also just made some little cakes. They have lemon curd in the middle, and orange icing on top. They're quite yummy, but next time I'm going to have to splash out on a better brand of lemon curd, rather than a 23p jar that tastes a bit like scented candle wax. My sponges are getting much, much better though. These ones are very light. I'm rather pleased!
Aaand now I'm watching Red Dwarf. There is nothing more awesome than Red Dwarf, and I won't hear otherwise.
