I just watched "The Prestige", and wow. Fantastic film. I figured a lot of it out as it went along, but it is still very, very clever. I'm most impressed by Hugh Jackman's character and his development, how he changes so drastically but pretty much invisibly, and then at the end when you realise... But that would be telling. And Christian Bale does intense very well, doesn't he? Oh, and David Bowie's fake Austrian accent of DOOM! Watch it for that if nothing else.
Wow, I'm bad at reviews. Especially reviews where I don't give anything away, and yet attempt to communicate with people who have already seen it. The diaries were good, very cunning. And I'm still not sure if both magicians used the same trick in the end. Maybe I'll wiki it up, see what that says, but the clues suggest that they did... and also that they didn't. Maybe it's meant to be that way. Maybe I should watch films when I'm more awake.
But. Yes. Awesome movie, I recommend it!
