I had a wonderful evening with my mom and friends when we went to see Wicked. We had dinner at Francos, which is a really nice Italian restaurant. We had to wait awhile for our food and we rushed to eat as we did not want to be late for the curtain call but we made it. The performance was absolutely fantastic. I recommend everybody see it if you have not already. The acting, singing, and overall experience was truly beautiful. I got a little teary eyed at a couple of the songs that were sung and laughed a few times at others. The woman that played Elphaba was wonderful as was the one that played Glenda. I loved when Elphaba first soars into the air with the lighting in the background and how Glenda described Elphaba using all these long words and all Elphaba said about Glenda was "blond" was hilarious. It really showed another side to the Wicked Witch of the West that I have not seen before. At one point where the Wizard was singing his microphone kept messing up but he did not stop for one minute. He kept going and that was really bold and showed a very good acting job on his part. All of the performers did a great job and I really did enjoy it all. I will definitely read the books now. My mom is also going to burn a copy of the soundtrack for me as well.
