Michael does so and moves to grab a log. "How many are there?"

Seven; more are in the orchards-- *hefts a particularly large log up to rest against the lowest bough of an oak tree*

Michael can't match that so he takes a much smaller log and tries to find a small tree.

*waves at the structure* It doesn't need to be perfect. I will build much better fencing when the cottage has been finished. *thus far, it still lacks about a quarter of the walling and a roof*

*so they'll work in silence for a while, until the fence has no gaps low and large enough that the sheep can escape--Ilmarinen is at this point holding a hand to his ribs, because the cut Michael gave him is aching* How would you keep your horse housed here?

I have seen just one--and well-fed; it would shun the homes of people.

"Good. I guess it's alright if I just let him roam. He'll be smart enough to know that this is where home is."

We will soon have our home finished; then we can build fence and stable.

"That sounds good. Where are we putting the deer?"

In the stable, with the horse. *grins*

"Do you think they'll get on?"

If they don't, we soon will teach them.

"...How?"

Bring them closer every day, then, when they have grown used to grazing near each other, pen them together.
