Mother's Message?

I had a weird thought this afternoon. With all the news talk comparing Gustav to Katrina (& the hurricane coverage is trumping all the political stuff at the moment), it struck me that it's like Mother Nature is commenting on the election-- & the message is "If you guys keep going the way you've been going, I'm just going to keep getting worse."

There'd be a certain justice in anti-environment, anti-science candidates losing an election in the aftermath of a global-warming-related natural disaster.

Yeah, yeah, I know-- my brain is a weird, weird place.
