Relaxed In Suits...
We had a couple of Suits visit the shop today. First thing I noticed was that all the office folks were wearing nice clothes- usually they all wear jeans & t-shirts. Second thing I noticed is that everyone was still pretty relaxed. I've worked at places where if the bigwigs were around, everyone was really stressed & worried about looking extra good but other than dressing up a bit, everyone still acted the same way they always do. Tanned Suit Guy apparently shared a plane with none other than Richard Simmons on his way to us. He said he was just like he is on TV- & that it's every bit as annoying & potentially blinding as you'd expect it to be.
As an example of how laid-back everyone was, even with Suits around:
Tanned Suit Guy (with travel bag): "Well, I have to head off to the airport. Do you think they'd be OK with me just running across the runway to the terminal?"
P the Buyer: "I don't think you'd be the first."
Super K: "Just watch out for the snipers."
K's got a really wicked sense of humor.
