She Kissed Me WHERE?!?!?!? Or, A Smith Family Easter Dinner

What a crazy weekend. The Rite did indeed go well, other than I forgot I was supposed to write the invocation to the Shining Ones as well as say it- trying to get those crowns done did indeed fry my brain. Good thing I can write quickly. G led the Rite, which was dedicated to Ostara Herself. Little bit smaller crowd than the last one & no new ( Read more... )

That sounds like a conversation that would go on with my family. I had my half sister at about one, one and a half running around yelling "Daddy's evil!" to everyone she could find. I hear my almost two year old nephew says "Oh shit!" when he drops things (not my fault, I don't live there anymore). But I don't pretend we aren't corrupt. ;-)

Oooo... I totally want to get Autumn to start saying "Daddy's an asshole!" but I have a feeling it may not take her long to come up with that one herself. (She made a point to tell me this weekend, "Daddy took off my band-aid and it hurt. That wasn't very nice.")

Yeah, I'm a corrupt influence. I'm OK with that. :-)

Awww...look at the cute puppy! From previous descriptions I thought Hannah was a LOT bigger! Or is she trying to look all small and pitiful in the pictures so we all feel sorry for her and give her lots of rubs and treats? LOL! She's adorable!

And you will be the cool auntie who teaches your niece all the things her mom tries to pretend don't exist, like making fart jokes and having belching contests, and when she's older you can teach her how to shoot darts and pool and play poker and all that fun stuff:)
Don't worry, she'll still be plenty ladylike!

Apparently, her father has already taught her about belching, much to Sis's chagrin. Pool & darts Sis wouldn't mind so much. The finer points of whiskey, on the other hand... ;-) Sis is fine with Autumn doing more "manly" types of things for the most part (She keeps calling Autumn "my little Marine") up until the point where cross that line into "impolite".

Actually, being a bohemian artist-type is really about the worst thing I could be, short of being a career criminal, as far as my sister's concerned. Everything I do is pretty much antithetical to military life.

As for Hannah, she's 70 lbs. She's a bit small for a chocolate lab but *solid*. She's such a sweetie, though! (And look- I've finally made a new icon with her!)

We should probably hook Hannah up with Sasha so Sasha can teacher how to REALLY pull the emo thing.

Or not. :)

It's more likely that Hannah would teach Sasha the finer points of Exploring The Big Exciting World and All It's Critters! Because that's what she does. We know she taught my Aunt D's dog (also a chocolate lab) that her basement stairs Can Be Climbed.

Hmm. It is probably a good thing that Sasha and Hannah are separated by a continent, because I think things could get bad for us if they compared notes. :)
