Leaf Vacumns Rock!

I have lots & lots of thoughts on Samhain & Halloween but I'll post them later.

For now, I'll stick to more mundane items. Like I've signed up with a new temp agency today. Theyve e-mailed me stuff I have to fill out & a link to some kind of online test & I interview with someone on Wednesday. Here's hoping they do a better job of finding me a job. I also have a schedule for the week at the mall job- Friday evening & Saturday afternoon. Happily, I asked my manager about getting the weekend off of the Chenille retreat & she said it was no problem so I'll be able to go! Whoo-ho! Also happily, I will be making a bit more than minimum & have more hours than the average holiday help because I'm going to be an engraver (the sales folks only got 4 hours each this week instead of the 12 I got).

In other news, Mom got back last night from England safe & sound. She dropped me an e-mail from work asking if I could unbury the driveway which had collected most of the fallen leaves in the neighborhood over the last couple days & explained that there was a leaf vacumn in the basement & how it works. While it took a bit of fiddling to get the hose thingy to stay attached to the garbage can (the cinch is broken) once I got it, it was really kind of fun. I'd brough the pooch out with me figuring she'd like some outside-running-around time. She kept trying to attack the leaf vacumn. It was so funny! Although probably a good thing that she couldn't get her mouth around it to chew on it. I chased her around a bit with it while she barked like crazy. Silly pooch.

I'm so weird- I even love yardwork power tools.
