Dreaming & Awake

First off, I need to pay closer attention to some things. For one thing, UMass Dartmouth had me confused as well- this would be *THE* Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. So much for less snow. Still, excellent place to have on my resume.
Actually, I had a lengthy dream this afternoon about being at the studio, only it was more of a museum. And then I realized that I'd been one of the people featured in the museum in the dream just prior. KInda weird.

Speaking of dreams... had a dream a few days ago about the Queen of Cats that won't quite leave my head. She was actually a dream-within-a-dream. In my dream, chronarchy & I were visting Turkey. While we were alseep in our hotel room (which seemed to be missing walls- just had veils drapped around instead, I had a dream about the Queen of Cats, who was silver with designs engraved all over her, & her eyes were dark gren faceted stones. The next day, i was wandering in a town square that had a big fountain in the center & young boys making all manner of gold chains by hand for the tourists. Suddenly, I found a white cat with green eyes & she spoke to me. So I started carrying her around in my basket. I told her about my dream of the Queen of Cats. She denied all knowledge of such a being but thought the dream was auspicious. I wandered into a very spectacular mall which seemed to be connected to the hotel- strange architecture & fountains everywhere, a bookstore with really wonderful lighting (the place just sort of glowed). I got back to the room to find Chronarchy lounging around with 3 lovely women who laughed at everything he said. And there were blanket merchants around the edges of our room, selling veils & clothes & fruit-- way better than normal room service. But the silver cat with green tourmaline eyes is sticking in my head-- think she's going to be a project soon.

Had a really fun weekend at AEthelmearc War Practice, even if it was really seriously cold. For one thing, warboy was there to help keep me warm. For another, I picked up a two-pound anvil. Eventually, I need to find a 25 lb. drop-forged one that I can afford for real forging but this little guy will do for the sorts of things I do now. :)

The only downside to the weekend is that I've been ick since I came back. Bummer. Seems to be clearing up now, though.
