Thesis Update

Talked to my Metals profs about the snafu with the show schedule. They consider it highly unfair. I also had a chat with the Faculty Advisor for the Student Art League. He appologized & wants to set up a meetign with himself, me, Esti (the SAL president) & S.C., the other grad student. He mentioned that Esti told him about my bro having his ticket from England & that he considered that a pretty compelling reason to keep my dates as close to the plan as possible.

So not good news exactly, but at least it sounds like most of us are going to try & work something out. Only one we don't know about is SC. He's a nice guy so unless he's got something major, like a relative flying in from a distance who's already bought a plane ticket, I'm sure we can work something out. I think I may suggest that we split the overlapping week- his ending a few days early & mine starting a few days late. I'd planned my opening for the middle weekend anyway so I wouldn't lose anything too horribly critical.

In other news, I've been contemplating things. Two things, mainly. The first is how my philosophy classes at Mercyhurst have impacted my thinking as I've gotten older. Specifically, Metaphysics & AEsthetics/Critisism. The other thing I've been contemplating recently is the insanity surrounding the Dutch cartoons. Both those contemplations will likely end up as their own posts, though.
