severely irritated, still, about closing the kitchen tonight. people are slacking and all that means is that i've got to pick up the debris. our GM is cracking down, which is good, because we had a good talk tonight about the crap that's being overlooked, not cleaned, not taken care of, etc, but people don't care. i really just need the next week to pass smoothly so i come into a new environment with a clear head and the ability to impress onto others my own standards of the work environment. we used to clean certain things on a daily basis, but now only once a week simply because my own superiors don't care. i almost feel like i need to drag them all into the back hall and tell them that i'm tired of being the only one that still takes some kind of inticitative in these matters, but it's not enough because i'm not seeing my own chefs doing this. frustrating beyond belief. worst thing is i've got to talk to a friend of mine tomorrow before our GM gets to him just so i can prep him for what's coming--for lack of a better phrase, the shit hit the fan tonight and i was the one stuck in the middle. i don't like looking bad, and when the people i depend on do this to me i don't take it lightly. i'm simply looking out for this guy because he's better than this and i don't want him to screw us over.

oh, the idiocy.
