Slow sunday night.
dear friends,
it is with great pleasure that i once again post to my old livejournal account. it's been a while. how are you? how's your family? i've missed you and them. how's school/work going for you? you'll do fine, i know you will.
i feel that I've settled nicely into the life again. no withdrawals or awkwardness around girls as commonly spoken of regarding newly returned missionaries. i've already been on half a dozen dates! i'll be returning to BYU Provo in january to double-major; a Bachelor's Degree of Music in Sound Recording Technology and a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering. i'll be pretty busy, likely studying through spring and summer for a couple years, so i won't be back to mesa much. until i leave, i'll be temping for Cigna Medical Services as a receptionist-type person.
i bought a mandolin while i was in india, and learned to play it a little bit. i'm hoping to pair up with one of my dear friends in provo and we can rock the world to pieces. or is it 'PEACES?' i am so creative. i'll go by Joshua Quail when i perform, and possibly among my friends too. Joshua, not Josh; Quail, not Quayle; and ___, not Cannon. better in several ways, i think.
i have a cell phone. i advise you all to call it at some point, but please don't text me unless it's necessary or requested. first reason: i much prefer to speak to you. and it costs less to say more. and let's not forget that the word 'telephone' is made of 'tele' meaning 'distance' and 'phonis' meaning 'sound.' audible communication is implied here people! it's not a 'telelibra!' also, i'm not sure if that's the real latin root for sound. sorry. SECOND REASON: i only get 200 free texts a month, both sending AND receiving, so i have to have less than 7 texts per day. that's not easy. so don't make me pay for something like that. thanks! my number is 48(zero)28(zero)3(zero)28. it's almost a palindrome...
