yea this week should be interesting. spending a week at lsu with some interesting people. yea. i guess things have been going pretty good. the school year is gradually waking up from its deep sleep of summer. i still have some "stuff" on the horizon i'd like to take care of. i recently read this verse and it kinda stuck in my head......
John answered, "I only baptize using water. A person you don't recognize has taken his stand in your midst. He comes after me, but he is not in second place to me. I'm not even worthy to hold his coat for him."
John 1:26-27 (from the Message translation.*note* most translations say "not even worthy to untie the string of His sandal." I just personally like this "coat" translation the best. But thats just me.)
That phrase, not even worthy to hold His coat, to me thats a very humbling statement. I mean John the Baptist is not even worthy to hold his coat or untie or tie his sandal. thats how unworthy were are of our Savior, yet Jesus, the Living God, pours his love and forgiveness on us every minute of our lives. To me thats just mind blowing.
