I didn't manage to watch this last week, so I've watched it this week, and watched Evolution as well as I'll be going to Stratford for "Hamlet" next weekend (*waits for hate*).

Anywho.

This is far from my favourite episode of Season 3 - but there are some fab Martha/Ten moments.

I loved Martha's "I'm gonna kill you for this!" after Ten volunteers to work for Mr Diagoras, and his little chuckle in response.

The way she says "And you've got to pick it up!" when he picks up the remains of the Dalek mutant (and I always respond "At least he didn't lick it!")

I love the way Martha bonds so quickly with Tallulah - she's very empathic, which is what makes her a great Doctor - and is a foreshadowing of her year long trek around the world while the Master's in power. (She must have needed to much empathy to reach people who were terrified.)

And the way she says "Oh little bi, you know, Shakespeare" in response to Tallulah's question about whether she's ever been on stage before.

I love Martha's bravery in going after Laszlo when she sees him in the wings - and then the way she takes charge in the sewers, doing her best to calm everyone down (again a great example of her calmness in a crisis which we'd already seen in "Smith and Jones" and with Milo and Cheen in "Gridlock")

This little exchange:

Martha "I am so glad to see you!"
Ten: "Yeah well, you can kiss me later. You too, Frank, if you want." Ten's laconic tone and Frank's silent amusement crack me up.

And I love the way, after Ten asks her to find out what's going on with the Daleks, she shouts "Report!" at them, as if she has a right to know - AND they tell her!! Even the Daleks know how bad-ass she is!!
