Those teaser icons are basically the only ones with anything to do with 10/Martha, so you don't really need to click the link if you're not interested in the others. There are a few texty versions of the first one, though.
Mostly I wanted to post here because I need to get something off my chest, so two birds, one stone. . It's to do with Martha and next week's episode. Has everyone seen the extended trailer?
Alright, so. Now that I'm nice and safe behind my cut tag, I shall pose my question. Is anyone else a little nervous about that ring on her finger?
I mean, of course I want my girl Marfa to be happy, but is it really realistic? Setting aside the fact that it shouldn't be so easy to get over The Doctor, let me count the ways.
1. You mean to tell me she's over the events of the Year That Never Was, and capable of healthy relationships? And has been long enough to be engaged in less than a year?
2. This fiancé of hers (Tom, presumably). Does he know about That Year? If not, does she plan on keeping it to herself forever? Do they expect me to believe that her new hubby listened to her story and believed her without wanting to have her commited to a mental institution?
I don't expect the Doctor to fall head over heels for Martha, much as I would like to see it. I just feel like putting that ring on her finger was the easiest way for RTD to skid over the unrequited love and ignore it forever. Stick Martha with a fiancé and he doesn't have to worry about vindicating her relationship with the Doctor, and it also opens the whole thing up for Rose's return. Anyone else?
