It was GORGEOUS today. Mid-60s and not a cloud in the sky! So I just got back from a 35-mile bike ride. Not a great pace, but can't expect much for not being able to ride much with the weather now. There's also something really satisfying about riding your old loop (route 5 in Vermont, cross over in Lyme, route 10 in NH, and cross back over in Hanover) and seeing how everything looks now. Maybe that's part of some ancient instinct to know one's territory? But, at any rate, it felt quite good - my muscles feel good and my brain feels good.
Milque & Cookies was last night! 'Twas quite good - I actually really liked our cookies this year. Partly because a lot of people, including me, made fruit cookies, which I really like. Turnout was a bit low for some unknown reason, but that just meant that there was actually space to move... And we got two new people rush! That makes 6 pledges so far, and a definite possibility for EIGHT (!!!) for this Sink Night! AWESOME!!! And I love our '12s already!
Also, swing dance is fun! I will definitely need to take some more lessons. Hooray the lessons being free, too!
However - stupid laptop power cord. I went to turn on my computer this evening, and the wire for my power cord just snapped in two! Not even at the end, where one would expect it to possibly break - but right in the middle. Weird... So I'm now on my backup laptop, which can only boot up on an old Linux LiveCD, but at least gives me internet (no wireless, though).
