[He's sitting in the buffet, going through old messages on his comm by the sound of it, though the volume on the comm is pretty low, so one would have to be fairly close to him to hear what's playing.

He's being a bit... wary, glancing up at any sound louder than a dead mouse in a church.]

[Bryn had decided to join the impromptu pool party up on deck three, but not before grabbing a couple sodas and some fruit to enjoy while there. She'd already changed into her swimsuit and had wrapped her towel around her hips, all that was left to do was stop by the buffet.

As Bryn walked in barefoot, her eyes immediately focused on the food, but they caught on a familiar sight. She made a quick detour and headed for him first.]

Hey!

[He starts a little, turning towards her, his expression a strange mix between happiness at the company and slight horror at what the company is wearing.]

Bryn-- why are you dressed like that?

[It's more of a curious inquiry than a reprimand.

[Bryn looks down at what she's wearing and reaches up, rubbing the back of her neck a bit.]

A swimsuit? There's a party starting on deck three. Came by for some grub and then I saw you so I thought I'd say hi. Maybe see if you wanna come too.

[Bryn gave him a smile.]

So what d'ya say?

[He's watching her lips as she speaks, even though he doesn't need to. He's been doing it so long, he doesn't even notice he's doing it anymore.

The mention of a party makes his expression fall a bit, knowing that he can't... and then he remembers that he can.]

[Bryn's face lights up, and her smile widens.]

Really?

[She hadn't really thought this would be his sort of thing.]

Do you have a swimsuit already?

[He doesn't know what sort of party, so... huh?]

I do not.

[brynkitten]

Oh. Well let's head down to twelve to see if we can find you something, yeah?

[Another smile...and then she stops, looking concerned.]

Unless you're not done eating here of course. Don't mean to rush you...

[But, well, since when did Jared do parties really?]

Oh, I was just... there is nothing keeping me here.

[He stands, putting the comm in a pocket and waving his hand in an 'after you' gesture. He's not sure what they'll be looking for... but hopefully it's nothing like what she's wearing. It would be very uncomfortable.]

Well then let's go! We'll find something quick and then shimmy up to the pool!

[Bryn was back to smiling again and began backing out of the buffet.]

Do you know what size you are? Vaguely?

[She takes a moment to look him up and down...hm. Then a sudden thought makes her laugh.]

I'm assuming you'll wanna go with swim trunks as opposed to a Speedo or something.

[You think he pays attention to the labels?]

[Yeah, no idea that they're thinking roughly the same thing.]

[Bryn waved a hand dismissively and turned forward to head to the elevators.]

We'll find something that'll work, I'm sure.

[She took a moment to look back, looked Jared up and down, as if to try and guess his size again and potential colors he could get away with, pursed her lips, and then looked forward once more.]
