the cat- report - part 1 the pictures !

as i told you yesterday lyonessheart came for a visit and we went to all the stuff

first on our list was the castle Schönbrunn- and i was like a dictator and told her, that while we went uphill she was not allowed to turn back, and she kept her word and i hope it was worth it because below you will see the reward:

you can click on the images to make them bigger

when it first was built there was nothing around, but now you also have a nice view into one part of the city, and yet still it has flare!

this is the view from the castle up-hill

and yes we did a grand tour through the castle, and yes it is always worth doing it!!!

then we have some very distinct features of Schönbrunn:

due to Schönbrunn being mostly a summer residence and for hunting there is LOADS of wood there and that means loads of squirrel and small foxes (but you cant see them during daytime) and its really a big green spot in vienna, and just so worth the trip!
especially for the nice gardens and flowers, here a small taste:

and yes lyon does take fantastic pictures

but we did not only go there, but also to the central cemetery because vienna has one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in europe aka the world (in the modern sense of the word), and we went also around the city here are 2 more pictures of my two inner city favourite spots (because well i am a rural girl i like the not-city places far better)

the first one is the Maria- Therisia statue between the two famous viennese museums:

and the other is the castle belvedere- here you see the upper one as the lower one is surrounded by construction (still is btw)

also i might have annoyed lyon a teeny-tiny bit with my overjoyment over every caterpillar we saw... i do adore them so much and in april there are a tons of them around- here one picture, just because:

and this here is super close to where i live (i would say about 15-20 min) and this is why i like it so much where i live:

and we went there on the day lyon went home and it made for the perfect closure of a very lovely and amazing weekend that i hope will soon be repeated!

stay tuned for the next part <3
