So this is my temporary home. There are plenty of...interesting characters about, to say the least. Particularly the girl who seems convinced she has somehow landed herself in a dating sim and the talking meat bun who refuses to stop trailing me like a second shadow. Some aren't even human.
Fortunately, the powers that be here were competent enough to place me in an empty room. With any luck, that will last me for some time.
More worrisome is the job market. All the jobs thus far are taken with one exception, and that exception is for a job for which I would never stoop so low. Money is important, but I refuse to earn it at the cost of my dignity.
In the meantime, I believe I shall spend time at the library. Reading through the library's selection about the sciences should keep me occupied until a more reasonable job opens up for me to claim.
