Before chapter today, my sorority had a women's self-defense instructor come and teach us some self-defense basics. We learned how to get out of a bear hug from the back, what to do if you're on the ground, how to get out of a wrist grab and some basics about breathing and keeping your center of balance. It was awesome and empowering and I'm thinking about taking the class this woman teaches next semester.

They had us yell as we did each move and it was really effective at bringing strength to the move. For an hour and a half the sounds that came from the house were: No! Elbow! Hammer! Palm! Knee!

Now, I'm off to Mammalian Physiology office hours and then back to the library. Less than two weeks until my birthday (the big 2-1!) and spring break. Yay!
