vacation

Well, I got back from Florida around 9 on Sunday night. It was a lot of fun....

The first day we went to the beach the whole day. Becca, Jon, and Zach all got bad sun burns so the next day we went to some outlet mall place in Naples. I got a really cute black halter top at Banana Republic, and some adidas sandals that have the velcro if you know which ones I'm talking about. It rained for like 10 minutes while we were there so it was a nice afternoon shower, but it was humid as hell anyway. Soo the next few days we just went to the beach and the pool and did things like that. We went to some pretty cool resturants, too. We went to this one Italian one, Altruso's or something like that, and that was probably the nicest place we went. The waiter had the whole Itatlian accent and all so that was cool. The 4th we went down to the beach and there was a fire works display. It was really beautiful over the gulf. My mom left right before the end because she claimed to be getting "eaten alive", but she only got two insect bites, and when i got upstairs, i counted like 15 new bites. Over the whole trip, I seriously got over 30 bug bites, it was crazy.

On Tuesday, the waves were calm so we went out on the wave runners. I went with Jon, Becca with Zach, and Mom with Dad. Jon and I stayed in back during the 10,000 island tour (which is where we went on the wave runners) and we fooled around a bit, like hitting the wakes purposly so our butts would come off the seats, or falling behind so we could catch up by going really fast. That was really fun. Wednesday, we went on this boat which went the same direction as the 10,000 island tour, and we saw some dolphins and stuff. We went out to an island where there were actually these really weird dome shaped houses that a guy built in the 60's when you could walk on a sand bar all the way down from Marco Island to there. But after he cut down a lot of the vegetaion, the sand was erroded and hurricane Andrew ruined a lot of it. But the houses were still there, but one is in the water on the stilts and the others are along the edge, so who knows how many more hurricanes it will survive. Anyway, we went there to go shelling. I found a couple cool things, nothing too exciting. It was really hot that day, like 95 or something. When we got back, the pool was so hot, it hardly cooled you off. I think it was that night we went to PF Chang's, a Chinese Bistro. That place was pretty cool. Then we went to my favorite place....Border's! So I got a few books there and I was happy. I think there were some good thunderstorms that night that i sat out and watched on our patio.

Thursday, we hung around at the pool most of the day. Friday was when it started getting rainy in the afternoon because of hurricane Dennis, so we went to Naples and walked around for a bit. I got a Le tigre shirt there. We had thunderstorms that night and it started getting windy. The hurricane was off from the Gulf like 200 miles or something from what Becca's lj says, but anyway, it only got very windy and rainy where we were. On Saturday morning, I went for a walk on the beach with Mom and Zach. It wasn't raining, but it eventually started on our way back. The wind hurt because the sand would blow on our legs and it stings pretty bad. Soo for the rest of the afternoon we went to Marco Movies and saw Fantastic Four. It was a good movie. I love Chris Evans<333 he's so hottttt. Soo later that night there was a break in the rain, and Becca, Jon, and me went for another walk on the beach. It was even windier and there was a big gust that blew the sand at us that stung our legs so bad that it tingled for a few minutes afterward.

That's about it, i forgot lots, but I know you don't really want to read anymore, since you'll probably skim this anyway. It was a fun vacation.
