So, for the Sept 29 - Oct 10 pay period, one school accidentally paid me for half a day instead of a full day, since I was paid for 8.5 days instead of 9. I first checked the two schools where I subbed for teachers in meetings rather than one teacher for a full day. Clinton Grove took their sweet time to answer me back, but both of the schools I suspected ended up paying me in full. Since Clinton Grove took their sweet time, and I went to Vegas for a week for DEMA with Mor-Fin, I wasn't able to get to any other schools for about 2-3 weeks.
I subbed at John Hanson Montessori today, and since I also subbed for John Hanson Montessori three times during the questioned pay period, I thought "Well, I'm here, I should ask them," although I knew they probably weren't the ones. When I asked them, the secretary who was the timekeeper wasn't there, and another lady who I haven't met ended up chewing me out saying "That wasn't the last pay period! That was three pay periods ago! You should have called us as soon as you saw your paycheck! Now we have to e-mail Mrs. Flowers and send her thousands of memos asking about that pay period and it's so much extra work!" I told her calmly "I'm sorry, yes it was a while ago, but I was focusing on another school and I was out of town. OK, I'll try all of the other schools, and if all of them tell me they've paid me in full, then I'll get back to this one." Then when I left I just felt annoyed, thinking that I got past the nasty dramatic secretaries.
As it turns out, the lady who chewed me out was John Hanson Montessori's principal. I found out because I was trying to see what I could do at the end of the day, and the secretaries told me to ask the principal, and I found out that it was the lady who chewed me out.
Montessori gives me jobs often. I mean, they gave me three jobs in two weeks, you can already tell, right? They pretty much give me one or more jobs a week. Their teachers are nice, at least one of their secretaries is nice, their VP is nice sometimes. But then, some of the classes drive me bonkers, some of the secretaries and office people feel that I'm breaking their arms and legs to get basic information from them, and now the principal just chewed me out because I wanted to confirm that they didn't accidentally pay me for half a day for the previous paycheck. I just don't know about them sometimes. It's really a love-hate relationship. Sometimes I love them, then the next minute I don't like them so much.
Oh, yes, and the mystery hasn't been solved yet. It's either Montessori, or Owens Road. Every other school paid me for a full day. I'm praying to God it's Owens Road who owes me half a day's pay. I don't want to deal with the Montessori crap again.
